Erin M. Wood, MD

Erin M Wood is a Program Coordinator with the Department of Anesthesiology Residency Program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. During her time at WashU, Erin has been privileged to work with the Academic Scholars Advancement Program (ASAP) and support to the department's NIH T32 appointees, thriving on the goal of building more robust pathways for future physician-scientists to achieve their goals. In her off hours, Erin can be found cycling nearby trails or tending the garden with her flock of chickens in downtown St. Louis, MO.

Megan Souter, C-TAGME

Megan Souter is the senior program coordinator for the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Anesthesiology Residency Program. Megan received her Bachelor of Arts from Tabor College followed by almost 10 years of early childhood education experience as a former preschool and Pre-K teacher. Currently, she is responsible for the oversight of a 20-resident program and is C-TAGME certified. During her 4 years as program coordinator, she has worked to streamline processes and revamp various areas of the program. Her current project is a 3-year resident wellness curriculum. When Megan is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Lilli, and playing board games with friends and family.

Jannot Ross

Jannot Ross is the Director of Education for the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at UCSF, overseeing Undergraduate, Graduate, and Continuing Medical Education programs. With over 20 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education, she is a Harvard Macy Scholar and recipient of the 2020 UCSF Excellence and Innovation Award in GME.

Lucine Waneis, BS

Lucine Waneis serves as Immediate Past President of the Association of Anesthesiology Program Administrators and Educators (AAPAE). She has more than seventeen years of experience in graduate medical education and currently is the Fellowship Programs Manager in the UCLA Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. She previously served on the AAPAE Council as President and as Council Member for Communications and Marketing, as well as President of the UCLA Staff Assembly Executive Board, Chair of the UCLA Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator Leadership Council, and Delegate for the Council of University of California Staff Assemblies. She is enthusiastic about promoting the interest and welfare of all program administrators and educators and continues to forge new partnerships and collaborate with individuals and groups to build community and camaraderie, foster engagement, and provide opportunities for professional development and advancement. She enjoys connecting with members from across the country and looks forward to continuing to give back meaningfully to the association, promoting the value of anesthesiology administrators and educators, and working collaboratively to create greater opportunities for our community and to make a positive impact.

Councilor – Assessment Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all association assessments such as creating surveys and evaluations for the program.
  • Drive association scholarship such as development of abstracts, manuscripts or other scholarly activity.

Rachel Moquin, EdD, MA

Rachel Moquin, EdD, MA, is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Learning and Development in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Moquin received her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi and her Doctoral degree in Education Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University. In previous roles, she has served as a professor in graduate teacher training programs and has provided professional development and mentoring for faculty in the areas of quality instructional practices, integration of adult learning theory into educator practice, and curriculum design and assessment. Dr. Moquin currently works as an education specialist, primarily focused on enhancing the teaching skills of clinician educators, as well as supporting faculty in educational scholarship and research, curriculum and assessment design, and mentorship of residents. Her key areas of interest are qualitative research methods, effective feedback practices, active learning and learner engagement, and learner remediation.

Councilor – Communications & Marketing Roles & Responsibilities

  • Write and submit monthly newsletter
  • Continually update all social media accounts in order to drive strategic direction of AAPAE social media/marketing
  • Compose annual report association report for distribution to SAAAPM
  • Maintain content on AAPAE website, in conjunction with Council and SAAAPM executive team

Callie Keller, C-TAGME

Callie Keller is an Assistant Administrator, overseeing Education and Faculty Affairs & Development, at the University of Virginia for the Department of Anesthesiology. Callie began her career at UVA in 2013 on a part-time project basis and quickly became enthralled with the genre, facets, and importance of medical education. She finds great fulfillment in being a liaison between the Chair, Vice Chairs, faculty and trainees to improve policies, program structure, and trainee experiences.  She is lovingly referred to as "The Fixer" by faculty and trainees! Last year she got her project management certification through UVA.  She has helped develop new curriculum and programming, write an ACGME Back to Bedside Grant, and manage multiple improvement processes across the department. Some of her professional interests involve resident/faculty wellness and professionalism, continuing education conferences, and helping to create a supportive, familial environment to train the next generation of anesthesiology clinicians and leaders. On a personal note, Callie enjoys spending time and adventuring with her husband, four adult children, and spoiling her grandson!

  • Approve any new, off-cycle (transitions of positions) membership applications

Tammy Bleeker, MEd, C-TAGME

Tammy Bleeker, MEd, C-TAGME is the Assistant Director, Education Administration at the University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology. Tammy earned her bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Saint Leo University. Her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology was earned from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Anesthesiology, she served in several capacities in Pediatric Medical Education at UF. During her time in pediatrics, she served on the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) Coordinator Executive Committee for three years. During this time, she presented and led workshops at the APPD national conference. She is serving her second two-year term as a voting member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and was recently appointed to serve a two-year term on the inaugural UF GME Coordinator Advisory Council. She is a graduate of the UF Emerging Leaders Academy and was accepted to the Advanced Leadership for Academics and Professionals (ALAP) Program. Tammy was named a UF Champion for Change award recipient for Health & Wellbeing and served on the UF Wellness Committee for four years. She introduced and leads the Joy in the Workplace initiative in her department, which incorporates social and service activities, to foster a positive and connected work culture - an effort that has received overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Council Member – Mentorship Program Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer the mentorship program including notifying mentor/mentees of pairings
  • In conjunction with assessment council member, assess the program on a yearly basis
  • Communicate quarterly with mentors/mentees  to provide support and assistance
  • Coordinate mentor/mentee meet-up at annual meeting

Rena Gresh, BM, C-TAGME

Rena Gresh is currently the Anesthesiology Education Programs Manager at the University of Rochester’s Medical Center in Rochester, NY. A believer in life-long education, Rena completed a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education in August 2022 at the University of Cincinnati, and is currently working toward a Master’s degree in Medical Education at the same institution. Her educational focus is tackling health care disparities within Perioperative Medicine through development and education for the entire spectrum of learners, medical students through fellowship, and faculty.
